Newly released is this Black Opal True Color Perfecting Primer which is definitely unlike any other primers that I have tried before which are usually clear, white or beige in color like the Benefit POREfessional.
This Black Opal True Color Perfecting Primer actually has some color to it and comes in five shades which are fair, light, medium, dark and deep. Deep is probably what I would get and I wonder how this would work underneath foundation and whether it will interfere with the foundation color. It will definitely be interesting to see how this works.
Per the site;
Wear alone or create the perfect canvas for your makeup. This ultra-light primer instantly refines pore appearance and preps skin flawlessly with a sheer wash of color. Brightening actives help keep skin tone even and emollient conditioners leave skin smooth, hydrated and radiant. Demi-matte, luminous finish. Suitable for all skin types.
I am always listening when something claims to minimize pores because of my large pores so I definitely want to try this Black Opal True Color Perfecting Primer. If the color is a perfect match for your skin tone, it would probably work great alone especially for days that you don’t do too much.
It is not completely matte and though I have oily/combo skin, I never like anything that is completely matte so this primer may work for me.
From all the information provided about this primer, it definitely sounds like something I want to try and since I love many Black Opal products, it was a given that I would want to give this Black Opal True Color Perfecting Primer a whirl.

Petrolatum is one of the top ingredients and it also contains silicones so if these are problematic ingredients for you, this is a primer you should avoid. While I am not so keen on petrolatum being so high up on the ingredient list, this and mineral oil are not an issue for me.
It is a bit pricey though at $14.95 especially since it contains cheap ingredients like petrolatum. It is even more expensive than their foundations and powders. Don’t know about the pricing for this one. They may need to rethink this price.
But if you want to give it a try, buy it at blackopalbeauty for $14.95
(You do get free shipping when you spend at least $25 as well as two free samples)
