Earlier this year e.l.f released the limited edition e.l.f. Studio Ambient Palette which quickly sold out (within a few hours of its release if I remember correctly). Anyway, many including me were upset that we missed out on this palette. It seemed to be inspired by or a dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette which costs $58! The e.l.f. palette was on sale for about $6 on the other hand.
After it sold out, many people wanted to know whether it would be back and customer service said that it would return in a couple of weeks and I even signed up for email notification once it returned.
Well a few weeks later, the page suddenly disappeared from the website without a word so I just assumed that e.l.f decided not to restock it for whatever reason.
Well I was on the e.l.f website checking out the two new makeup setting sprays and happened to see the e.l.f. Studio Illuminating Palette in the new products section so I immediately ordered this in addition to the two new setting sprays.
It is the same exact palette which has just been renamed this second time around. Unlike the previous palette, this does not seem to be limited edition so more people should hopefully be able to get their hands on it unlike the previous palette.
This palette feature 4 different highlighting shades each of which you can use alone or mix and match for a custom blended highlight. The soft-focus powders are meant for highlighting around the eyes and on cheekbones or for any area of the skin that catches the light. It states that this can be used on all skin tones.
Can’t wait to try this e.l.f. Studio Illuminating Palette for highlighting especially on my dark skin to see whether any of the shades work on my complexion. We shall see although I think I shall like it since my go to highlighter is actually the e.l.f. Studio Baked Bronzer in Los Cabos. This gives me the perfect subtle highlight that I need for everyday and it is the only highlighter I own that I have put a dent in so it will be interesting to see how this new illuminating palette will compare.
Do you plan on getting this?
