Seeing this Volition Beauty Turmeric Brightening Polish reminded me how much I love turmeric for skincare. Besides skincare, there are so many health benefits for taking this Indian spice internally (be sure you add black pepper for better absorption of turmeric by the body) that it is a crime against yourself if turmeric is not part of your life. I do hate the yellow stains (slightly yellowish teeth) when I consume this but this stain is only temporary. To avoid staining my teeth, I do most often than not use a straw when I add turmeric to one of my drinks. I do adding it during my various food preparations.
So in addition to using it internally, there was a homemade turmeric mask which I used to make which I really loved. It really smoothed out and brightened my skin in addition to slightly minimizing my VERY LARGE pores. This mask is apparently one Indian brides used the night before the wedding. I only stopped making it even though I kept promising myself that I needed to get back to this because I ran out of the ingredients and just being lazy. If I remember correctly the mask combined turmeric, milk and besan flour (chickpea/gabanzo flour). One of the best masks I’ve ever used on my face.
Anyway, maybe this Volition Beauty Turmeric Brightening Polish will address my laziness and according to the reviews, this doesn’t stain the skin. Because of my dark skin, the yellow stain wasn’t that apparent but it may be if you have fairer skin and make the DIY mask and though the stain is temporary, you may avoid it altogether by getting this Volition Beauty Turmeric Brightening Polish.
Steeped in tradition for thousands of years, Turmeric has been celebrated as a skin-enhancing treatment by generations of Indian women. Now, this cultural beauty ritual has been transformed into an everyday scrub to brighten and polish. Turmeric Brightening Polish gently exfoliates skin to unveil brighter, softer, and smoother skin.
